Along with a dual-tone paint scheme, the new variants also get an updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Ever since its launch, the Hyundai Creta has dominated its segment and has been selling like hot cakes in the Indian market. That, however, doesn’t stop Hyundai from adding more bells and whistles to the vehicle. In an attempt to make the Creta more interesting now, Hyundai has added a new dual-tone variant of the Creta to the range. Based on the SX+ variant, the Creta dual-tone is priced at Rs 12.33 lakh (petrol) and Rs 13.88 lakh (diesel). Both prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
Exterior updates on the Creta dual-tone include a, well, dual-tone paint scheme with blacked out roof and pillars. Two paint options will be available – Polar White and Red Passion. In addition, both the dual-tone variants also get diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels, which were exclusive to SX+ automatic trim earlier. Inside, it’s a similar story. The car comes with dual-tone upholstery featuring a red and black combination. Hyundai has also updated the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system of the Creta as it now comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link connectivity options. There’s also a new Arkamys Sound Mood system.
The SX+ dual-tone variants are mechanically unchanged. The petrol version is powered by a 1.6-litre engine that develops 121bhp and 154Nm of torque, whereas the diesel is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo unit that produces 126bhp and 265Nm. Both come with a 6-speed manual transmission. The smaller 1.4-litre diesel or automatic versions of the Creta are not available in dual-tone spec as of now.
Besides the current updates, Hyundai is also expected to give the Creta a mid-life makeover by the end of this year.
