Hyundai Creta Beats Tata Punch, Mahindra Scorpio and More to Become the Best-selling SUV of India in January
The Hyundai Creta emerged as the best-selling SUV in January 2025. It was followed by the Punch, Grand Vitara and the Scorpio on the list.

The Hyundai Creta topped the SUV sales chart in January 2025, posting an impressive 40% year-on-year growth. The SUV sold 18,522 units, a significant increase from 13,212 units in January 2024. At the recent Auto Expo, Hyundai also introduced a new electric variant to the already popular Creta line. The Creta and its new electric counterpart offer compelling features, including ventilated seats, dual displays, dual-zone climate control, and comprehensive safety equipment like 6 airbags and Level 2 ADAS. The Creta Electric adds further convenience with boss mode and V2L. With the Creta leading the charge, let's examine other strong contenders in the SUV market.
