The Hyundai Creta Facelift, which went on sale in January of this year, has emerged as the best-selling car in July 2024. The SUV is currently priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh in India (ex-showroom). It comes in seven core variants and multiple powertrains. In terms of features, the Creta SUV has front-ventilated seats, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, a 360-degree camera, drive modes, an electronic parking brake, a panoramic sunroof, and over seventy connected car features. Hyundai Creta
The Creta SUV sold 17,350 units in July 2024, up 23% from the 14,062 units delivered in the same month last year. Notably, this is the first time the facelifted Creta has topped the charts.

Maruti Suzuki Swift
Despite a 6% year-on-year decrease, Maruti Suzuki's next-generation Swift finished second on the list. It sold 16,854 units, compared to 17,896 units in July last year. The hatch has five variants – LXi, VXi, VXi (O) ZXi, and ZXi+, and multiple exterior colour options. It retails between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.64 lakh (both, ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki vehicle packs a new Z-series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 80bhp at 5,700rpm and 112Nm at 4,300rpm.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR
The WagonR sold 16,191 units in the previous month, representing a 25% YoY increase over the 12,970 units sold in July 2023. The hatch is available with two engine options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. A factory-installed CNG kit is also on offer with the model. It costs between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 7.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Punch
Tata Punch, which was the best-seller in June, ranked fourth on the list. The SUV sold 16,121 units in July 2024, marking a YoY growth of 34% from the 12,019 units sold during the same period last year. The Tata vehicle comes in two versions: ICE and electric. The former has a 1.2-litre petrol engine (86.7bhp), while the latter has 25kWh and 35kWh battery options. The prices for the ICE and EV variants start at Rs 6.13 lakh and Rs 10,99 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom prices.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
In July 2024, Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga MPV secured the fifth position on the list of best-selling cars. It sold 15,701 units last month, registering a growth of 9% year-on-year. The car is priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 13.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit with smart hybrid technology, which produces 101.5bhp and 13Nm. The same mill, while running on CNG, generates 87bhp and 121.5Nm.
