Hyundai has silently launched a new SX CNG variant of the Aura compact sedan in India. The new variant comes with additional features over the previous S variant.
Hyundai has discreetly launched a CNG Aura in its SX variant. Prices for the variant begin at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). Ahead of this, the CNG version was reserved for the S variant which was priced at Rs 7.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
In comparison to the S variant, the new SX variant benefits from a few features including a reverse parking camera, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles, a shark-fin antenna, a 5.3-inch digital cluster with a MID, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and voice recognition, smart key with push-button start-stop, and a front power outlet.
In terms of design, the Aura is heavily based on the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios which means there is the chrome grille, twin boomerang-shaped LED DRLs with projectors for the headlamps and the fog lamps. The car sits on a set of 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, you get LED tail lamps and chrome garnish on the lid of the boot door
The car is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The engine outputs 68bhp and 95Nm of torque. In the domestic market, the Hyundai Aura goes up against the likes of the Tata Tigor CNG XZ Plus.
