All 12 models from Hyundai’s product portfolio will see a hike in price. Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki, Kia Motors and Hero MotoCorp have also announced a hike in prices with effect from January 2020
It is that time of the year again when car makers announce a hike in price of their products. After the announcement from Maruti Suzuki last week, Hyundai has now joined the bandwagon. All models from the Korean car maker will cost more from January 2020. The company hasn’t revealed any specifics about expanse of the price hike but has announced that the hike has been made due to increase in input costs. The extent of the increase may vary according to the product and the variant.
The price hike doesn’t quite come as surprise. In fact, it has now become an annual phenomenon. Keeping this announcement in mind, car sales in December are expected to be better than November. In fact, in order to clear the 2019 stock and with the BS-VI update around the corner, most manufacturers are currently offering good discounts too. Both these aspects make it the best time to invest in a new car.
Hyundai currently has 12 models on sale in India and the company is about to unveil another one, the Aura, on 19th December. The company also has some interesting offers on the Santro and the Grand i10.
Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp has also announced that their products may demand up to Rs 2,000 more with effect from 1st January 2020. Although only a few manufacturers have made such announcements so far, expect other car and bike makers to follow the suit. In fact, prices of vehicles are expected to be heavily revised with the launch of all BS-VI updates.
