Hyundai Motor India has officially launched the all-new Alcazar with a new 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine in India. This engine option will be available alongside the 1.5-litre diesel CRDi engine, which produces 114bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque and will replace the older 2.0-litre petrol engine. It is the first vehicle from the auto manufacturer to be equipped with the firm's new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The car will be available in four trim levels, with the base model demanding Rs 16.74 lakh and the top-spec model costing Rs 20.25 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Bookings for the updated model are already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. For reference, the prices of the Alcazar variants are listed in the table below.

2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Design
The new SUV will feature a new front grille and a puddle lamp logo with the Alcazar Emblem, the company claims. 'Grand Experiences with this new-age mobility solution' are said to be enhanced by its design's refined appeal and new technologies.

2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Safety and Features
All trim levels of the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar will be equipped with six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, TPMS, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill start assist control. Further, it will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and connected car technology, as well as a digital instrument panel, among other features.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Powertrain
The brand-new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine will power the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar. The engine produces 158bhp of peak power and 253Nm of maximum torque and will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission. A 7-speed DCT. A 1.5-litre diesel engine with maximum power and torque outputs of 113bhp and 250Nm, respectively, will also be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Notably, both the engines are RDE-compliant and E20 fuel ready. Moreover, the new Alcazar is claimed to have a fuel efficiency of up to 18km/l with the DCT and 17.5km/l with the manual transmission.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Price and Variants
Six variants of the new 2023 Hyundai Alcazar petrol are available in four trim levels: Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O), and Signature (O). The car is available in six- and seven-seat versions, with prices ranging from Rs 16.74 lakh to Rs 20.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Prestige and Platinum models are only offered in a seven-seat configuration with a 6-speed manual transmission. While the Platinum variant costs Rs 18.65 lakh (ex-showroom), the Prestige version costs Rs 16.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Platinum (O) and Signature (O) are available in six- and seven-seat configurations, with a 7-Speed DCT.

2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Market Rivals
