Hyundai has given a serious makeover to the Alcazar SUV, with features like H-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), a sleek new grille with horizontal slats, a fresh Robust Emerald Matte colour, two 10.25-inch displays, and improved air conditioning controls. The SUV starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and is available in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. It continues to compete with the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift vs Mahindra XUV700: Powertrain

While both cars come with a 6-speed manual transmission, the XUV700 (2.0-litre) gets more powerful petrol and diesel engines than the Alcazar (1.5-litre). While a 7-speed DCT is an option for the Alcazar's turbo-petrol engine, other engines get a 6-speed torque convertor AT. The Mahindra SUV benefits from all-wheel drive (AWD), while the Hyundai SUV only has front-wheel drive (FWD).

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift vs Mahindra XUV700: Dimensions

The XUV700 is 135mm longer, 90mm broader, and 45mm taller than its competitor. However, its wheelbase is 10mm shorter than that of the Alcazar.

The updated Alcazar gets an array of premium features and amenities, including all four disc brakes, Level 2 ADAS, hill-start assist, six airbags, powered driver's seat with memory settings, panoramic sunroof, ventilated second-row seats (available only in six-seater versions), and electronic stability control and vehicle stability management. In contrast, the Mahindra SUV has a 12-speaker Sony audio system, wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, seven airbags, and front seats with ventilation.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift vs Mahindra XUV700: Price

The Hyundai Alcazar Facelift's full price list is not yet revealed. However, the SUV starts at Rs 14.99 lakh for the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variant and goes up to Rs 15.99 lakh for the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel model. The Mahindra XUV700, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 13.98 lakh and Rs 26.04 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
