Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recently revealed that it will launch the performance-focused Creta N Line on March 11. The revamped model is set to receive interior upgrades and visual improvements over the standard model. Not only that, the facelifted Alcazar will also make its market debut by mid-2024. In the most recent development regarding the all-new Alcazar, a disguised test mule of the upcoming SUV has been sighted undergoing testing ahead of its scheduled launch in the Indian market. The test mule was equipped with new capabilities and will borrow design elements from the Creta, its sibling. In addition, a tech-heavy cabin along with a fresh and distinctive look is anticipated. Read on to learn more details.

The latest spy shots showed that the model was mostly hidden on the outside thanks to heavy black camouflage. The newly installed alloy wheels, which were decked up in a dual-tone design, stood out as the test mule's most striking design elements. Further evidence of a 360-degree camera and blind view monitoring system is provided by the test mule's camera, which is situated beneath the ORVMs. Other exterior changes to the Alcazar include a new grille, integrated LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and a reworked bumper. Additionally, we anticipate seeing the "H-shaped" pattern prominent in the headlamps and taillights. No dimensional alterations are likely, though.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Interior Updates

Features-wise, the current iteration of the car has a plethora of tech features already present. These amenities comprise a 360-degree camera, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, multiple airbags, and front parking sensors. With the revamp, the Alcazar will receive additional conveniences from the Creta, including powered and ventilated front-row seats, dual-zone climate control, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and sequential turn indicators.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Powertrain Options

The new Alcazar is anticipated to retain its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160bhp of maximum power and its 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Creta, which have been modified to comply with BS6 Stage II emissions regulations. The available transmissions will be an automatic torque converter unit, a seven-speed DCT, and a six-speed manual.

Some Alcazar facelift variants will probably see a slight price increase, and as the introduction draws closer, additional information should become available. Regarding market rivalry, the Alcazar will go up against the Mahindra XUV700, the MG Hector Plus, the Citroen C3 Aircross (seven-seater version), the Mahindra Scorpio, and the Tata Safari, upon launch.
