The Hyundai Alcazar recently underwent its first comprehensive makeover since its launch in 2021. The SUV now starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and features dual 10.25-inch screens, two memory settings for the driver's seat, dual-zone air conditioning, a wireless phone charger (second row), and eight power-adjustable front seats. However, mechanically, the SUV retains its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engine options. The former comes with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT, while the latter is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. With a mileage of more than 20km/l, the diesel manual is a highly fuel-efficient powertrain option in the lineup. It is followed by the 6-speed manual turbo-petrol, which has a fuel efficiency of 17.5km/l.
Interestingly, the turbo-petrol DCT and diesel-automatic boasts the same mileage of 18km/l. It's important to note that these figures are claimed by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India), and actual fuel economy may vary based on driving conditions.
