The petrol model of the WR-V Edge Edition is priced at Rs 8.01 lakh, while the diesel costs Rs 9.01 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda has launched a new special edition variant of the WR-V cross-hatchback, called the WR-V Edge Edition.
The Edge Edition is based on the lower S trim of the car. Typical of any special edition, it adds a few more features to the standard trim. On the outside, there are new 16-inch alloys and an optional premium white colour (Rs 4,000 extra).
Then, Honda has given the Edge Edition standard rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera display integrated in to the IRVM. Furthermore, the Honda Connect app integration comes standard which allows the car to sync with a smartphone.
For all the additional features, you’ll have to shell out Rs 20,000 over the standard S trim, which makes it a good deal. On the other hand, the Edge Edition still remains considerably cheaper than the higher VX trim of the WR-V.
The Edge Edition, as expected, does not feature any technical upgrades, so the WR-V’s 1.2-litre, 89bhp petrol and 1.5-litre 98bhp diesel engines continue to do duty on this special edition model as well. The petrol model gets a 5-speed manual gearbox while the diesel gets an extra cog.
The Honda W-RV Edge Edition will be made in limited numbers, however, the Japanese company hasn’t exactly revealed how many units are being put on sale.
