Honda will unveil two innovative EV prototypes at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, as a part of its new Honda 0 Series. The car on the left in the teaser looks similar to the Saloon EV Concept from the previous year in many ways, including the smart LED taillights, the diffuser-mounted sleek brake light, and the glowing Honda lettering. While the shadowy teaser offers limited details, it strongly hints at an evolved version of the Saloon EV Concept, with the full specifications set to be revealed at its official debut.
The eye-catching SUV on the right of the teaser is the true show-stopper in Honda's 0 Series prototype range. It is boxy in shape and may be about the same size as the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. It has a long wheelbase and a practically vertical rear window. It features a wraparound LED light bar but misses out on typical wing mirrors.
Honda 0 Series Platform: Key Highlights
The Honda 0 Series models are set to offer a range of powertrain options, including both single- and dual-motor configurations. These will be paired with newly engineered compact e-axles, designed to be mounted lower within the vehicle, optimising space. They also help in reducing the car's frontal area, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. The 0 Series cars will initially have two different e-axle units, available in three different configurations to suit a range of performance needs.

The base models will have rear-wheel drive and a 245bhp motor on the back axle. For more power and traction, two dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions will also be available, combining a 68bhp motor on the front axle with a 245bhp motor at the back.
As is typical for most EVs, the battery pack in the 0 Series cars will be incorporated under the floor. However, Honda wants to differentiate itself by making the pack as thin as possible—roughly 8 mm thinner than those used by competitors.
The 0 Series SUV is expected to come equipped with a nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, offering a capacity between 80kWh and 90kWh, which should deliver an estimated range of approximately 480 kilometres. However, these details have not yet been officially confirmed.
More Showcases at CES 2025
In addition to the two EV concepts, Honda will unveil a new proprietary vehicle operating system at CES. It will highlight advancements in automated driving technologies as part of its broader vision for electric mobility.
