Honda hikes prices of City, WR-V, Jazz, and Amaze

Four out of the five Honda cars on sale have seen a price hike. The 4th-gen Honda City is the only car that continues with its old pricing. 

Honda India has hiked the prices of the City, WR-V, Jazz, and Amaze in India. Honda has both the 4th and 5th generations of the City on sale; however, only the newer model has undergone a price hike. Honda sells five different models in the Indian market, out of which four have seen a price hike across variants. However, the Honda City 4th generation still continues to be priced between Rs 9.29 and 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Honda City (5th generation)

To begin with, Honda India’s flagship model, the City (5th generation) now starts at Rs 10.99 lakh. The City (5th generation) has six petrol variants and three diesel variants. Following is the variant-wise breakup of the Honda City’s pricing.

The V manual variant of the Honda City (5th-generation) petrol model has not seen a price hike and continues to be offered at Rs 10.99 lakh.

Honda WR-V

Honda WR-V has seen the least hike in its prices in the bunch. The prices have been hiked by Rs 7,000, and it's only the base WR-V SV MT Petrol variant that has become dearer to its customers. The other two petrol variants and three diesel variants have seen no changes in their respective pricing.

Honda Jazz has seen a price hike of Rs 9,000 across variants. However, the cost of the base model and the top-spec automatic model still remains the same. The price hike has affected the variants positioned between the Jazz V MT and Jazz ZX CVT (automatic).

Honda Amaze

The Amaze sub-compact sedan has seen a price hike of Rs 9,000 for its petrol variants; however, the diesel variants have become pricier by Rs 12,000. Just like the Honda Jazz, the base and the top variants of the Amaze petrol have not seen a price hike. Whereas the base model of the diesel variant and the diesel VX MT Exclusive Edition continue with the same prices as before.
