Honda Cars India (HCIL) has begun manufacturing the Honda Elevate at its cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan, India. According to Honda, the same factory also produces the City and Amaze sedans. Keeping in sync with the Make In India endeavors, the automaker claims to achieve over 90% localization for this SUV. Honda India says that its Man Maximum Machine Minimum style concept has been employed to design the SUV. It has an incredibly roomy cabin with sufficient headroom, knee room, and leg room, in addition to 458 litres of load capacity. According to the automaker, India is the first nation to produce the SUV, which will go on sale in both domestic and international markets. For those unaware, the bookings for the Elevate are underway for Rs 21,000 and deliveries are expected to commence in September.
