Honda has shared a new teaser of the Elevate Micro SUV ahead of its global debut in India. The new teaser hints at the car missing the panoramic sunroof, a feature found in some of its market competitors like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. According to the teaser, which shows the half roof, the upcoming Micro SUV appears to get a single-pane sunroof. According to industry reports, Honda is working on strengthening its SUV segment in the country. The new Elevate compact SUV is expected to bring good sales numbers for Honda. Last month, the Japanese automaker's Indian subsidiary sold 5,313 units in the domestic market, which was a 32.5% drop year-on-year. Domestic sales were 7,874 units in the same period last year. Let's have a quick look at what this new Honda SUV is expected to offer to customers in the country.

Honda Elevate: No Panoramic Sunroof?
The panoramic sunroof occupies more than half of the roof space and extends above the front and rear seats. It works as a natural air-conditioning for cars and offers natural lighting in the cabin. In our market, this type of sunroof has become quite common, and many manufacturers are offering it in several models. Honda is gearing up to introduce its all-new micro SUV – the Elevate – in the country. And, according to the recent teaser, the car misses out on the panoramic sunroof, which is a bit surprising, for its rivals, like the Hyundai Creta, do come with this feature. Whether the absence of a panoramic sunroof in the Elevate will affect its popularity in the country or not is something only time will tell. For now, the SUV will debut on June 6, and more details about it will be made public soon.
Honda Elevate: Exterior & Interior
The SUV will likely have a sloped rear windscreen, roof rails, and a shark fin antenna. It will presumably get an upright front fascia, a chrome grille, and LED daytime running lights. There is no official update, but the new SUV will reportedly draw inspiration from the globally available CR-V and the next-generation WR-V in terms of styling.
Inside, the upcoming Honda Elevate is likely to have a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features could be ventilated front seats, electric seats for the driver, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, and more.
Honda Elevate: Engine
Under the hood, the new Elevate will likely have a single 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which also powers the City sedan and produces 119bhp and 145Nm. For transmission, it will use either a manual or CVT automatic gearbox.
