Honda has introduced an extended warranty programme for its range of cars including the existing City, Amaze and Elevate, in addition to the discontinued Civic, Jazz and WR-V models. The programme offers a 7-year unlimited kilometres coverage and is extended to only petrol and hybrid models. While the petrol variants of the aforementioned discontinued models are entitled to the benefit – given that they already form part of the extended warranty programme, the discontinued diesel-powered Honda cars do not qualify.
Moreover, customers can opt for the unlimited kilometres extended warranty package within two years of the purchase date, with other options also available until the end of the standard warranty. Even those with an extended warranty package of four or five years can get extended coverage of up to 7 years or up to 1,50,000km, whichever is earlier. The extended warranty purchased includes free repairs/replacement of defective parts and is transferrable.
'At Honda Cars India, our commitment to enhancing the customer ownership experience remains unwavering. Backed by the established values of strong durability, quality and reliability of Honda cars, this Extended Warranty Programme with Unlimited Kilometers up to 7 years ensures that every customer regardless of their driving pattern, can experience long-term protection. We believe this new offering is a game changer for the industry and will redefine customer expectations of vehicle ownership,' said Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd.
In other news, Honda launched a new Apex Edition version of the Elevate SUV in September, thereby bringing exterior and interior enhancements. Ranging between Rs 12.86 lakh and Rs 15.25 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom), the Elevate Apex Edition is based on the mid-spec V and VX variants and is available in limited numbers. The mechanical components remain the same as the regular model – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT.
