The CR-V Mugen concept just comes with cosmetic updates and doesn’t get any bump in output numbers
At the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS), Honda Cars showcased the CR-V Mugen concept. Draped in red, the CR-V Mugen concept got accents of brushed silver on the front splitter and at the back. The concept also sports a new sportier stance, reworked grille and side skirts. To distinguish this from the standard models, there are Mugen badges at the front and the rear. This CR-V Mugen edition was fitted with sportier looking 18-inch wheels - the standard model sold in India also gets identical wheels.
At the heart the CR-V Mugen concept comes with a 1.5-litre VTEC turbo-petrol motor that pushes out 193bhp and 243Nm. This motor is, however, not offered in India. Locally, the CR-V is offered with a 2.0-litre petrol mill that develops 152bhp and 188Nm. This motor comes paired with a CVT.
At the 2018 Auto Expo, Honda had announced the launch of 4 cars in this financial year. The company has already brought in the new Amaze, a refreshed Jazz and the CR-V. Honda is expected to bring in the Civic in the first quarter of 2019.
