Honda to launch BR-V crossover tomorrow. It is expected that the BR-V will be priced competitively against its rivals such as the segment leading Hyundai Creta.
Last week we at autoX brought to you the review of Honda’s latest offering for India, the BR-V. The Honda BR-V is being positioned as a crossover that will take on popular models such as the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV. However, going by demand in the India market which prefers SUV body styles irrespective of size and powertrain the BR-V may not exactly be in the ball park for Honda. But when you take a closer look at its spacious cabin, huge boot and comfortable seating for seven people into considering, the BR-V would seem to have an advantage. Add to this its 210mm ground clearance and that bulletproof Honda badge and the BR-V starts making sense.
Word is out that Honda will be pricing the BR-V affordably in order to make it an even more attractive proposition for potential buyers. Expect prices to undercut those of the Hyundai Creta (currently priced between Rs. 9.15 lakh to Rs. 14.50 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi).

The Honda BR-V will be offered with a set of three powertrain options – there will be a 1.5 litre diesel engine with a six-speed manual gearbox, a 1.5 litre petrol engine with a six-speed manual gearbox while the petrol motor will also be offered with the option of a CVT automatic gearbox.
Honda is expected to launch the BR-V around midday tomorrow so stay tuned to autoX as we bring you all the latest updated on the newest Honda.
