Honda introduced its '0 Series' electric vehicles (EVs) at CES 2025, showcasing advanced Level 3 automated driving technology. This allows drivers to operate hands-free in specific conditions, marking a step forward in autonomous driving. The Saloon prototype resembles the concept revealed in 2024, while the SUV prototype builds upon the 2024 Space Hub concept, adopting a more stylish and modern crossover design. The carmaker plans to debut the 0 Series in North America in 2026, with subsequent launches in Japan and Europe. By 2030, the lineup will expand with new additions. The company also introduced its proprietary ASIMO OS, an advanced system designed to power its range of EVs.

The '0 Series' reflects Honda’s focus on sustainable mobility and safety, combining electric power with cutting-edge automation. With this debut, Honda aims to redefine urban transportation by offering efficient, eco-friendly vehicles with advanced driving assistance.

Honda 0 Series Saloon

The Honda 0 Saloon prototype, an evolution of the concept unveiled at CES 2024, is set for market release in 2026. While keeping the same design elements as the concept, the prototype features a sleek, sporty profile with a low stance, distinguishing it from other EVs. Positioned as the flagship model of the 0 Series, the 0 Saloon is built on an all-new dedicated EV platform, incorporating advanced technologies that reflect the “Thin, Light, and Wise” design approach central to the series.

At CES 2025, Honda focused on showcasing technologies that highlight the “Wise” value of the 0 Saloon, including Level 3 automated driving, which marks a global first for practical use. The vehicle will also feature "ultra-personal optimisation" through the ASIMO OS.

Honda 0 Series SUV

Honda showcased a prototype for a mid-size EV SUV, the first model in its 0 Series, drawing inspiration from the Space-Hub concept presented at CES 2024. This concept emphasised the idea of EVs as adaptable "spaces" for people. By applying the "Thin, Light, and Wise" design principles, the SUV offers a more spacious interior with a clear, unobstructed view and exceptional flexibility.

The vehicle will also incorporate cutting-edge technologies, such as 3D gyro sensors, to ensure precise handling, allowing drivers to navigate smoothly across different road surfaces with ease and control.

ASIMO OS

Honda’s 0 Series will utilise the ASIMO OS, a custom-built vehicle operating system inspired by the company’s iconic ASIMO humanoid robot. The manufacturer intends to equip its 0 Series models with the ASIMO OS.

Originally developed to assist people and navigate society autonomously, ASIMO laid the groundwork for Honda’s advancements in robotics. The ASIMO OS builds on this legacy, acting as the technological core of the "Wise" value in the 0 Series. Even after ASIMO’s development ended, Honda continued to advance its robotics expertise, including environmental recognition and autonomous behavior technologies that respond to human intent.
