Looking for a G-Wagen with a bit more exclusivity? Here’s Hofele-Design’s version of the Mercedes-AMG G63 that has been dipped in carbon fibre.
Hofele-Design, an official partner of Mercedes-Benz AG, has released its latest creation – the Hofele-Design Mercedes-AMG G63 – featuring a host of aesthetic changes that ups the exclusivity quotient for the three-pointed star’s old school brute. And to ensure that you don’t mistake it for a standard G63, the large front grille of the car has been replaced with a Hofele-Design unit, featuring either carbon fibre or body coloured trim and a large Hofele-Design logo. The exterior is carbon-fibre themed – it not only clads the lower body of the car but also the front and rear bumpers. In fact, the front bumper has been redesigned with a fair bit of carbon fibre and chrome inserts. The gangster nature of the car has been stepped up as well, with new LED projector lamps mounted on the roof. While at the bottom, there is a set of new 24-inch alloy wheels that can be had in a variety of polished or painted finishes.
But perhaps the biggest modification to the exterior of the car come with the electrically deployable full-length side steps, which drop down to facilitate ingress and egress for occupants. At this point, G63 loyalists may be tempted to point to the side pipes of the car and say, 'they don’t move!' Well, Hofele has news for you, as the side exhaust pipes move with the side steps. Yup, that’s bound to look pretty cool in real life!
When it comes to the interior of the car, Hofele design has completely re-trimmed the seats, dashboard, centre console, door pads, headliner, and pillars with a selection of leather and Alcantara, available in a wide range of colours.
The Hofele Mercedes-AMG G63 is available in three layouts – the standard five-seat seat layout, VIP four-seat layout, and six-seater layout with removable third-row seats.
Based in Stuttgart, Hofele-Design is an automotive design and engineering business, specialising in the manufacturer-approved enhancements of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. As such the Hofele-Design Mercedes-Benz cars always come with standard dealer and manufacturer warranty. And the Hofele Mercedes-AMG G63’s is no different, especially since no changes have been made to the fire breathing 577bhp V8 powertrain of the car.
'While this new ‘Hofele HG Sport’ portfolio is Hofele-Design’s most striking range of enhancements yet produced for a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, it still adheres to our core design philosophy: elegance and sophistication with a touch of sportiness,' explains Stuart Whitmore, CEO at Hofele-Design.
