Hennessey's Venom F5 has undergone yet another radical transformation, and the latest version is truly extraordinary. It is the track-ready Venom F5 Revolution Roadster, and it combines the V8 of the ‘regular’ roofless F5 with the track-ready brilliance of the Revolution Coupe, which was unveiled earlier this year. In 2022, the supercar manufacturer located in Texas decided to remove the roof, resulting in the creation of the Venom F5 Roadster. Subsequently, it was followed by the introduction of the Revolution model, which was designed to be lighter and more suitable for track use, earlier this year. And now, Hennessey has gone further by introducing the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster, which will make its premiere next week at The Quail event held during Monterey Car Week. The Revolution Roadster effectively eliminates the roof of the high-performance Venom F5 – a modification that poses a significant challenge to the structural integrity of the vehicle, thereby rendering it less suitable for track usage. However, Hennessey asserts that the Revolution Roadster's capabilities have not been diminished.

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster: Design
Those who are aware of the F5 Revolution will the Revolution Roadster to be visually familiar. The vehicle has undergone aesthetic modifications, including larger splitters and diffusers, a prominent rear wing, and the addition of dive planes on the front clip corners. Furthermore, it is worth noting that this particular vehicle is equipped with a roof scoop for the engine, even if its top can be removed. The component in question is affixed to the engine cover and exhibits a minor overlap with the cockpit area when the unified roof structure is extended.
Notably, the roof of the F5 Revolution Roadster is constructed from a sturdy carbon fibre composite material and features an interior lining composed of Alcantara. According to Hennessey, it weighs only 8.16kgs, making it simple to remove even though it’s fastened in place with high-strength locks. In addition, the Texas-based company explains that the Roadster has undergone comprehensive re-engineering in comparison to its coupe counterpart, although specific modifications are not explicitly outlined.

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster: Engine
The 6.6-litre V8 engine with twin turbocharging remains unchanged. With an impressive power output of 1,817bhp, the Venom F5 occupies a unique position in the automotive world, with a potential top speed that surpasses 482km/h. Although an official top-speed attempt has not yet been conducted, it is unlikely that the Revolution, with its enhanced aerodynamic features, can achieve high speeds in either coupe or convertible form, given that it is primarily designed for track use.
Hennessey's also focused on removing features from the track-oriented convertible model, consequently making it the lightest iteration of the Venom F5 – something that it shares with its track counterpart. The weight of the road-going vehicle, which is 1360kgs, is reduced in the current iteration of the vehicle. However, the specific details regarding the extent of weight reduction and the modifications made to achieve this outcome have not been officially disclosed by the company.
The roofless Revolution track car, which is priced at USD 3 million and will only see a limited run of 12 units, is making its debut in the same year as the coupé track car. The coupé track car is a modified variant of the F5 Venom, meticulously designed to enhance performance by removing certain features. It is worth noting that all 12 units of the Revolution track car have already been sold.
