BMW has unveiled the Z4 M40i Roadster First Edition on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Reviewing Stand during the Monterey Car Week.
BMW has pulled the wraps off its all-new 2019 BMW Z4 M40i First Edition roadster after generating a lot of buzz among car aficionados all over the world. The latest 'Z' roadster marks a new chapter in its 30-year past which began with the BMW Z1. Among its most notable highlights are a central sitting position for the driver, a low centre of gravity and a perfect 50:50 balanced weight distribution.
The exterior design of the latest Z4 is marked by new, vertically-stacked headlights, a mesh design BMW kidney grille, long clamshell hood stretching over the front wheels, large air breathes on the front wheel arches and a spoiler integrated into the boot lid. The car also features 19-inch light alloy wheels with a two-tone, double spoke design.
The interior of the First Edition model features Vernasca black leather trim with decorative stitching, electrically adjustable seats with memory function and a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System. In terms of features, the 2019 Z4 marks the debut of adaptive LED headlights and BMW's Head-Up Display on the Z4 roadster range. The First Edition also gets BMW's Live Cockpit Professional with two high-resolution digital displays.
The Z4 M40i First Edition is powered by an updated version of BMW’s 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine which propels the car from 0-100 km/h within an estimated 4.4 seconds. For a sporty driving experience, the Z4 M40i has been fitted with M-tuned sports suspension, M performance brakes and an electronic rear differential.
While the detailed specifications of the 2019 Z4 are due to be announced on 18th September 2018, international deliveries are expected to begin from Spring 2019.
