Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for the well-known Mustang muscle car. The manufacturer has detected a defect in the models that come with manual gearboxes. The barrel nut that connects to the firewall stud on the muscle car may not be fitted correctly, which could be the cause of the clutch pressure line issues. Put otherwise, the line may come into touch with exhaust components. The most recent announcement states that the issue may occur with the units manufactured between September 27, 2022, and May 23, 2024. Here's everything you need to know about the recall.

The Issue
The clutch pressure line is prone to melting, which can impair gear operation. Consequently, the driver's risk of a collision increases. There's also a danger of an underhood fire if the problem continues. However, the company stated that the vehicle's braking system won't be impacted by the clutch line defect.
The manufacturer first became aware of the potential problem on April 20 this year. The issue was detected after the company investigated allegations of smoke coming out of the hood of 2024 Mustangs fitted with manual transmissions. After receiving the report, the automaker's Critical Concern Review Group launched an investigation to look into the specifics of the matter. Fortunately, the brand states that no injuries or accidents have occurred as a result of the issue.
Dealers in the US have been instructed to check the cars that are part of the recall. Appropriate clutch pressure line retention will be ensured by the inspection. If there are any problems, the dealers will replace the part at no additional cost. It should be mentioned that 8,161 Mustang GT and Mustang Dark Horse units will be covered under the notification letters sent to the owners between June 17, 2024, and June 21, 2024.

Ford Territory Name Trademarked in India
Ever since Ford left India around three years back, there has been a lot of discussion about its potential return. The American carmaker has not made any announcements, but the ongoing filing of trademarks for India has given rise to speculation about the brand's comeback. The manufacturer plans to introduce the Territory SUV to India, based on trademark-filling that surfaced online. In certain foreign markets, the mid-size SUV is referred to as the Equator Sport; in others, such as South Africa, China, Vietnam, and Mexico, it is known as the Territory.
