Ford India will be bringing the top spec GT model of the current Mustang to India which is powered by a 5.0 litre naturally aspirated V8 model developing 429 bhp of max power and 542Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and power is sent to the rear wheels. The car for India will be offered as standard with a special performance pack featuring a limited slip differential and four engine maps for driving modes.
This sixth generation model is the only Mustang to be made available with right hand drive and hence is now officially available in numerous right hand drive markets around the world. The Ford Mustang 5.0 litre GT is expected to priced under Rs. 1 crore when it is launched in India, making it the most affordable 400bhp+ car on the Indian market. Needless to say that its pedigree gives it an iconic American muscle car status of its own which is all it needs to get the right cheques encashed here.
