Ford already sells the body-on-frame SUV in the international market, the Ranger-based Everest. It has now unveiled a more off-road-capable variant of the Everest in Australia. It is called the Tremor. Compared to the standard version, the Everest Tremor comes with increased ground clearance, all-terrain tyres, and significant suspension upgrades.
As part of suspension upgrades, Ford has equipped the Tremor with new springs and position-sensitive dampers from Bilstein, improving ground clearance by 26mm. The latter adds a factory lift kit. Plus the Tremor gets the Ranger Raptor-borrowed Rock Crawl drive mode for better traction, along with existing on and off-road drive modes. The off-road SUV rides on 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels wrapped in beefy General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain tyres. Optional bits include a Rough Terrain Pack with ARB off-road gear, as well as a Touring Pack, Premium Seat Pack and Towing Pack.

On the outside, the Everest Tremor is marked out by a new grille with a honeycomb pattern and integrated auxiliary LED lights. The front fascia also features a revised bumper and a steel bash plate with built-in tow hooks. Along with alloy wheels, the car sports heavy-duty side steps in profile. The orange Tremor badging has also been slapped on the front doors.
Ford Everest Tremor: Features
Inside, the seven-seat Everest Tremor gets all-weather floor mats and leather-accented seats with embossed Tremor logos and ebony inserts. The vehicle also benefits from an eight-way power driver's seat, adaptive cruise control, and dual-zone climate control.
Ford Everest Tremor: Powertrain
No changes are made to the powertrain. The Everest Tremor retains the same 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 engine under the hood. The engine churns out 247bhp and 600Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The maximum braked towing capacity is 3.5 tonnes.

There is no word on Ford bringing the Tremor to our shores, but we do know that Ford is gearing up to reintroduce the Endeavour in India, probably next year. The Endeavour will be launched as the third-generation SUV, sold as the Everest in Thailand, Australia, and other international markets. There is a possibility that Ford might sell the Endeavour under the Everest moniker this time.
