The updated variant has been priced at Rs. 29.57 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Ford has added a panoramic sunroof to the Endeavour 2.2-litre Titanium variant in order to boost the SUV’s value proposition.
The panoramic sunroof was previously only reserved for the more powerful 3.2-litre Endeavour. Otherwise, the 2.2-litre Titanium variant retains all the features which were previously offered.
The 2.2-litre Ford Endeavour makes 158bhp of max power and 385Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and has a ARAI certified fuel economy of 12.62km/l. The Endeavour range starts from Rs. 25.64 lakh and is available in 5 colours - Sunset Red, Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Smoke.
“Being the most awarded vehicle in its segment, Ford Endeavour truly surpasses what consumers expect from a premium SUV. The introduction of electric panoramic sunroof on 2.2-litre variant further reinforces our commitment to meet and exceed customer expectations,” said Vinay Raina, executive director, marketing, sales and service, Ford India.
The Endeavour competes with the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in India. The Fortuner has long been dominating the big SUV segment with robust monthly sales, and Ford hopes steal some of its thunder by adding more features to the Endeavour. For instance, in December 2017, Toyota sold 1,591 units of Fortuner, while Ford could only manage to move 326 units of Endeavour.
