Ford has launched the Black Edition EcoSport across variants featuring an all-black exterior colour theme.

Ford has spruced up its EcoSport with a new Black Edition trim option across all models to offer a variation in its model line-up. Of course, this comes at a time when its arch rival, the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has superseded sales of the erstwhile compact SUV king, the EcoSport. Ford would be hoping that the tarted up EcoSport can live up to the hype around the Brezza which is offered with dual tone colour themes and a range of accessories. In order to do this, the EcoSport Black Edition features an all-black exterior colour theme featuring a black front grille, blacked out head lamps, black bezel front fog lamps, black ORVM casings, black roof rails and 16 inch black alloy wheels.

The Ford EcoSport Black Edition is available in three trims, namely, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. The EcoBoost and diesel models get the Black Edition in Trend+ and Titanium+ models while it is also available in the middle level Titanium trim for the diesel version. The 1.5 litre engined manual and automatic EcoSport models are available only in Titanium trim for the Black Edition.

Prices for the Ford EcoSport Black Edition are as follows:

Ford EcoSport 1.5 Diesel Trend+         Rs. 8.88 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.0 Trend+                    Rs. 8.58 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.5 MT Titanium            Rs. 8.74 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.5 AT Titanium             Rs. 9.79 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.5 Diesel Titanium       Rs. 9.34 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.0 Titanium+                Rs. 9.63 lakh

Ford EcoSport 1.5 Diesel Titanium+     Rs. 9.93 lakh

All prices are indicative of ex-showroom Delhi.

“Besides an outstanding value for money proposition, the Ford EcoSport continues to be admired for its impressive, head-turning design. The new ‘Black Edition’ accentuates EcoSport’s bold design, giving the compact SUV an even more striking look and a substantial road presence,” said Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director Marketing, Sales & Service at Ford India.
