Honda released the first image of a prototype version of its new NSX supercar ahead of its international launch in 2015.
The prototype will make its public debut on the 4th of August at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course race circuit in Ohio. In fact it is the same state that Honda has built this supercar.
First revealed at the Detroit motor show last year, Honda confirmed that the production car has retained the concept’s Sport Hybrid’s Super Handling All Wheel Drive system. The Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system features a mid-mounted V6 petrol engine coupled to an electric motor to drive the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and twin electric motors drives the front wheels.
The Honda NSX is likely to churn out about 400 odd bhp, but it is the torque from the three electric motors and engine which Honda says will be the a thing to reckon with when it comes to the performance of the NSX.
