Fiat India launched a refreshed version of the Linea T-Jet yesterday. Fiat has added equipment like automatic headlamps, an audio system with a remote, rain sensing wipers, ABS, EBD, auto on/off lamps and disc brakes all around, and it will be standard across all variants. The Fiat Linea T-Jet is now available in three trim levels - Active, Dynamic and Emotion.
The Active and Dynamic variants come fitted with 15-inch steel wheels giving it a ground clearance of 185mm, while the top-end Emotion variant, gets 16-inch alloy wheels that give it a ground clearance of 190mm.
Fiat will be offering the Linea T-Jet in five colour options, namely, New Pearl White, Minimal Grey, Oceanic Blue, Tuscan White and Hip Hop Black.
The refreshed Fiat Linea T-Jet is powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 112 bhp and 207Nm of torque. Mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the fuel efficiency figures stand at 15.7km/l.
Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Operations India, said, “With the launch of 2013 Linea T-Jet, an expanding dealer network and upcoming marketing initiatives, we will be in a strong position to capitalise on the growth in the market. With the differences in the prices of petrol and diesel neutralising, we are witnessing a rise in the consumption of petrol cars once again. The 2013 Linea T-Jet is sure to capitalise in the C plus segment, which is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian car market.”
The prices for the new Fiat Linea T-Jet start from Rs 7.60 lakh for the entry-level (Active) to Rs. 8.80 lakh for the top-of-the-line Emotion variant. (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). With the launch, prices of the Fiat Linea T-Jet Active have gone up by Rs 49,000 while the Linea T-Jet Emotion has become dearer by Rs 67,000.
