Ferrari is getting ready to show off its first-ever electric car. This might seem surprising to some fans, but Ferrari needs to keep up with the times and make electric vehicles too. The car is expected to be officially revealed next year and be available to buy in 2026. A disguised test version of the car has already been seen driving around in Italy. The test car looks like a Maserati Levante but with headlights from a Ferrari Roma. The wheels are special wheels designed for electric cars to help them drive further and be more aerodynamic, but they will probably be different on the final car. Although Ferrari hasn't revealed much information about the car yet, there are rumours that it will be even more expensive than their new high-performance 12-cylinder car. Because of this, it's unlikely to be a large SUV. They are probably just using the Levante body to hide what the real car will look like. Ferrari's first electric car will most likely be a sporty and sleek car.

The Ferrari EV will be produced at Maranello's new facility. It will be able to create ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicles (EVs), hence augmenting yearly output to a projected 20,000 units.

Ferrari Inaugurates New Plant

In a significant move towards electric vehicle (EV) production, Ferrari has inaugurated its new E-building at the Maranello factory. This 42,500-square-meter facility signifies a strategic shift for the renowned supercar brand, designed to maximise production flexibility for a range that will include both traditional and electric powertrains.

The E-building underscores Ferrari's commitment to "energy, evolution, and environment," as denoted by the building's designation rather than simply "electric." Scheduled for production to commence in January 2025, the E-building will be the birthplace of Ferrari's first electric vehicle, alongside established models like the Purosangue and SF90.
