Ahead of its official 2016 Paris Motor Show debut, Ferrari has revealed three images of the open top LaFerrari Aperta hypercar.
Ferrari has revealed pictures of the LaFerrari Aperta ahead of its official debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October this year. As of now the Italian supercar maker has released only three images of the car on the internet showcasing the aesthetics of its latest open top car. The open roof besides, the biggest difference between the LaFerrari and the LaFerrari Aperta are the rear buttresses that flow ever so seamlessly from the rear aprons to over the engine bay, and of course the roll over hoop over just behind the seats.
Due to the logistics of the mid-engined layout the LaFerrari Aperta does not have a roof that folds away at the touch of a button. Instead it has a removable carbon fibre or soft top roof panel which also aids in keeping the weight down.
Of course Ferrari has worked to make extensive modifications to the carbon fibre chassis of the LaFerrari Aperta to maintain torsional rigidity while work has also been carried out modifications to the aerodynamics of the car to ensure that the drag coefficient of the open top model is identical to that of the hard top model.
Ferrari CEO, Sergio Marchionne had earlier stated that potential customers were already shown the car and the company has confirmed that all units of the limited edition LaFerrari Aperta have already been sold out. Deliveries for the car will begin in 2017, although the price of the car has not been revealed openly yet.
The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta is powered by the same hybrid system doing duty in the coupe model of the car which involves an electric motor, a battery pack and a naturally aspirated 6.3 litre V12 engine, the combined output of which is rated at 950bhp.
Expect an extensive range of images of the LaFerrari to be revealed by Ferrari at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
