The GTC4Lusso replaces the FF in Ferrari’s line-up, and for the first time, comes with a turbocharged motor.
Ferrari has officially launched the GTC4Lusso in India. The supercar is made available in two models - GTC4Lusso T and GTC4Lusso.
The version with the ‘T’ suffix is the less powerful one. Well, less powerful compared to the other model - because a 3.9-litre, V8 turbo-petrol with 602bhp and 760Nm of power and torque respectively, is pretty savage by any earthly standard. This motor has been lifted off Ferrari’s 488 GTB.
Ferrari understands that not every millionaire’s greed for mechanical muscle may be satisfied with 602bhp, and therefore, the higher version carries a V12 under its hood - raising the total horse count to 680. Irrespective of the engine, the standard transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch auto.
The GTC4Lusso is the first Ferrari to be offered with an option of engines to choose from. It was globally unveiled in 2016, as a replacement for the Ferrari FF. However, the Lusso is more of a comprehensively refreshed FF (with a new name) than an all-new supercar.
This means that the GTC4 inherits all the things which the FF stood out for. So, the GTC4Lusso is a proper sporty grand tourer, with usable rear seats - making it the only true four-seater Ferrari. Also, with the company’s 4RM-S four-wheel-drive system on board (only on the V12) - the Lusso can handle challenging terrains with more finesse.
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T is priced at Rs. 4.2 crore, while the GTC4Lusso will set you back by a full crore rupees more - all ex-showroom, pan-India.
