It is no secret that Ferrari is currently working on the 812 Superfast successor which has already been spied on a few times before. A car enthusiast has now captured pictures of a prototype of the new V12 machine that Maranello is developing. In the picture, we can clearly see the upcoming Ferrari in heavy camouflage. This indicates that the new machine has moved on to the next level of development and this is why the Prancing Horse chose to cover the vehicle in elaborate disguises to keep the ultimate design under wraps. A front-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer, the Ferrari 812 Superfast was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and was the replacement for the F12berlinetta. The 812 Superfast is powered by a larger version of the 6.3-litre V-12 found in the F12berlinetta.

Is 812 Superfast Successor a Hybrid?
Massive air intakes can be seen through the mesh camouflage up front,. A missing trim piece surrounding the twin exhaust makes the back end seem unfinished, yet the tailboard is noticeably different in design from the Roma's. Where it joins the taillights, it curves gently rather than being flat. In general, the prototype is making the production vehicle seem more menacing.
The high-performance coupe is likely not to be a hybrid, since no yellow high-voltage stickers have been seen on the cover. If the speculation is true, this will be one of the last V12 Ferrari cars without hybrid systems. But is a small chance that this new ferrari might feature a mild-hybrid system. Regardless, this vehicle will be highly sought after by collectors.
Expected Engine Performance
Expect that naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V-12 engine to be even more potent than in the 812 Competizione when the covers come off. Ferrari has previously claimed it has the technical know-how to release even more power than the current 818bhp. Torque might potentially get up from its current 692Nm level as well.

Three More Ferraris to Come This Year
Ferrari has just recently begun testing the 812 replacement with its own body, so we shouldn't expect an official announcement anytime soon. The exotic Italian company has vowed to unveil four new models this year; with the Roma Spider already out, that leaves just three more to go. This vehicle, along with a serious SF90 Stradale, ought to be among them.
