Ferrari has unveiled the 499P Modificata, a non-competitive derivative of the 499P that contributed to the Italian automaker's win at the LeMans this year. Since the new Ferrari 499P Modificata is a non-competitive variation of the race vehicle, it is not subjected to the stringent rules that regulate the LeMans competition. The luxury firm has tweaked the hypercar and designed it for use by select ardent and affluent auto aficionados. Although the production run of the car is currently unknown, it is expected that the vehicle will be available in limited quantities for select buyers. Moreover, the 499P Modificata is part of the brand's new Sport Prototipi Clienti programme, which allows clients to purchase customised race vehicles. Let's take a closer look at the key details of this track toy in terms of engine, design, and more.

Ferrari 499P Modificata: Key Highlights
With an electric motor mounted onto its front axle, the 499P Modificata is driven by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 motor as the race car. However, as already mentioned, Ferrari has altered the machine to boost its performance even more for non-competition use. As a result, the front axle's electric motor has been upgraded. The World Endurance Championship regulations state that electric assistance is only permitted to engage at speeds greater than 190km/h. But unlike the LeMans race car version, the new 499P Modificata can employ its electric assistance from a standstill, allowing it to drive at lower speeds instead of just over 190km/h.
Apart from this, Ferrari has implemented the "Push to Pass" technique. By pressing a button behind the steering wheel, an additional 161bhp of power can be unlocked for 7.0 seconds. For a shorter period, this increases the powertrain's maximum output from the regular 697bhp to 858bhp.
The non-competitive version of the race car maintains a range of components as the standard version, which consists of a carbon monocoque chassis, an 800-volt battery pack inspired by Formula 1 technology, a seven-speed sequential gearbox, and a brake-by-wire system. In addition, the car's aerodynamics and outside appearance are almost exact replicas of the standard 499P. Regarding the exterior and interior modifications, the carmaker has equipped the 499P Modificata with Pirelli slick tyres in place of the Michelins used for the renowned racing competition. Inside, a wider seat and a digital rearview mirror have been added.
