Ferrari has unveiled its latest 12-cylinder marvel, the Ferrari 12Cilindri. Drawing inspiration from the 812 Superfast, this car has two body styles: a sleek coupe and a convertible Spider with a retractable hardtop. Honouring the beloved 12-cylinder heritage of Enzo Ferrari, this vehicle represents a dramatic change in Ferrari's product line, which now includes a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid mid-engine sports car and a four-door SUV. The 12Cilindri's design embodies classic V-12 Ferrari GTs like the Lusso and 275 GTB/4, combining comfort and performance for thrilling long-distance excursions.

Ferrari 12Cilindri: Design

The car's design reflects elegance with its clean lines, emphasising the seamless integration of its various components. The vehicle moves harmoniously as the sleek flanks gently curve back from a dihedral section. The 12Cilindri keeps a modern look even though the leading edge of the hood is reminiscent of Daytona's sleek lights between a black panel.

Ferrari uses active aerodynamics at the back with two tastefully incorporated, black-finished triangular wing components. From above, these components and the black tailboard glass produce a distinctive silhouette evocative of a stealth fighter. Black panels on the roof carry on this idea and keep the car's overall design language consistent.

The interior, which echoes vintage Gran Turismo cars, skillfully blends elegance with sporting flair. Drawing inspiration from the dual-cockpit design used in vehicles such as the Ferrari Roma and Ferrari Purosangue, it features a symmetrical design with two separate displays for the driver and passenger. To set itself apart, there is an extra display located on the dashboard just above the transmission tunnel.

With its state-of-the-art capacitive mechanism, the steering wheel elevates functionality. Control activation has undergone significant modification to guarantee a more user-friendly interface with improved haptic feedback for an unmatched driving experience.

Ferrari 12Cilindri: Engine

Ferrari 12Cilindri Engine

A 6.5-litre V12 engine, codenamed F140HD, powers the 12Cilindri, serving as its crown jewel. With a peak output of 819bhp and a rev limit of 9500rpm, it stands shoulder to shoulder with the powerhouse found in the 812 Competizione. This V12 demonstrates its strength through precision engineering with lighter internals and optimised cam profiles. In particular, the V12 can reach higher revs thanks to its 3% lighter crank, titanium conrods, and unique aluminium alloy pistons. This powerful engine drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle gearbox, which has more gears than the 812 Competizione.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri takes only 2.9 seconds to get from 0 to 100 km/h and 7.9 seconds to get from 0 to 200 km/h. The top speed stands at around 350 km/h.
