The Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Vehicle Operations division, which focuses on high performance vehicles, revealed the most powerful Range Rover Sport, the SVR. Though a camouflage prototype was made public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new SUV sports the new high performance SVR-badge.
The Range Rover Sport SVR will go on sale in 2015 and gets a tweaked a 5.0 litre supercharged V8 with 542bhp. This engine is currently used by the Jaguar F-Type R, XKR-S and XFR-S. Expect the RRS SVR to do 0-100km in roughly four and half seconds. Unfortunately, no further details were revealed but this new SUV is expected to be more aggressive looking.
