An upgraded Dodge Challenger Scat Pack has beaten the Demon’s quarter-mile top speed.
A bunch of Mopar enthusiasts who enjoy taking their Dodge muscle cars a level above the factory specifications have now gone and beaten the Demon at the drag-strip. A Dodge Challenger Scat Pack with major upgraded have now gone out and broken the quarter mile world record set by the Dodge Demon.
The Mopar Scat Pack hit a whopping 228km/h, reaching a slightly higher top speed set by the Demon. The Frankenstein-like Challenger Scat Pack was using a heavy amount of aftermarket performance upgrades on its 6.4-litre V8 HEMI engine. The car was running Nitrous, a custom camshaft, forged rotating assembly, a Magnuson TVS2300 supercharger with a lower pulley on the crankshaft. The car was also running a manual gearbox with McLeod twin-disc clutch and a Barton shifter.
As for an overall time, the tuned Challenger Scat Pack could only manage 10.409 seconds to cover the quarter-mile due to traction issues. The Demon still holds on to its time of 9.65 seconds, however, that may change soon as the owner of this beast of a dragster will be back to the drag strip to beat that time.
