Almost three months away from its launch, Mahindra has made the website of its XUV700 accessible to public, where interested buyers can register and get timely updates on the upcoming SUV
Mahindra XUV700 is slated to be launched in Q3 of 2021 i.e sometime between July and September. However, Mahindra has already made the website for the upcoming XUV700 accessable public. The website is an added convenience for interested buyers to stay updated with the launch of the new SUV. Updates such as the launch timeline, vehicle showcasing, and test-drive availability could be provided to the buyers who register themselves on the website.
For now, very limited information is at hand. The XUV700 will be positioned above the XUV500 in the Indian market. Mahindra has also confirmed that the XUV500 will be temporarily discontinued post the launch of the XUV700. We believe, the XUV500 could make a comeback as a five-seater crossover-SUV to rival the Tata Harrier and the MG Hector.
The XUV700 is based on a monocoque chassis derived from an all-new platform. The engine options will be both petrol, as well as, diesel-powered. And both the engines will be offered with an optional automatic gearbox. The engines could be the same units that we have seen in the Thar, 2.2-litre turbo-diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol. Mahindra has also confirmed that the XUV700 will be available with an all-wheel-drive system. The Mahindra XUV700 could be positioned in the Rs 16-24 lakh bracket depending on the variants on offer. All prices are ex-showroom.
