Due to the ongoing lockdown, Renault has decided to extend the warranty period and service schedules for their existing customers in India. The company has also launched 'Book Online Pay Later' online booking programme for its new cars.
Renault India will extend the warranty and periodic maintenance schedules for their existing customers in light of the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown. In addition to the standard warranty, the extension on warranty period will also apply to vehicles that have extended warranty.
Renault hasn’t revealed the actual period of the extension, but it’s likely to be around 2 months, which is what most other automakers have announced recently.
Additionally, Renault says that their 24X7 roadside assistance will continue to provide support for its customers in case of an emergency.
The company has also launched its online booking campaign – ‘Book Online Pay Later’. As the name suggests, this online service will help you book a Renault vehicle through the company’s official website in India or via My Renault App. The good thing is that you don’t immediately have to pay any booking amount.
In addition to this, Renault will provide incentives to their dealer partners and will relax monthly targets to ease the effects of the lockdown. Renault has set up a taskforce in order to facilitate financial transactions with its dealerships to support them in terms of inventory holding costs.
Apart from Renault, a number of automakers including Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai, and Tata have already announced an extension of warranty plans and service schedules for their existing customers.
