Citroen India has officially commenced bookings for the upcoming eC3 EV in India. The bookings for the model have begun at Rs 25,000. Interested customers can book the EV by visiting the nearby authorized dealership office or via the official website. Beginning the next month, the new EV will be offered at showrooms all around the nation. Talking about the powertrain, the new Citroen eC3 EV will have a 29.2 kWh LFP battery pack and an ARAI-certified range of 320 Kilometre. It will get a single electric motor positioned on the front axle that is capable to produce 56bhp and 143Nm. The eC3 EV features two driving modes, Eco and Standard, a regenerative braking system, and a top speed of 107km/h. Interestingly, the battery pack comes with a 7-year/1,40,000 Kilometre of warranty from the carmaker, and the electric motor, on the other hand, is offered with a 5-year/1,00,000 Kilometre of warranty. Overall, the actual electric hatchback has received a 3-year/1,25,000 Kilometre of warranty from the carmaker.
The new Citroen eC3 EV has borrowed design cues from the existing petrol model of the C3. However, there are certain tweaks, including the front end with no exhaust and a charging outlet positioned on the front fender. The interior of the electric vehicle has minor changes including the centre console now features a new drive controller and a new gear lever.

Just like the petrol-powered C3, the brand-new EV will also have two versions - Live and Feel. The eC3's features are comparable to those of the ICE model, with the addition of a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, a four-speaker music system, and a height-adjustable driver's seat in the higher-spec Feel variant. The MyCitroen Connect app adds connected vehicle technology to the eC3. It allows you to locate the car, view its location, and find the closest charging station. For safety, the EV comes equipped with dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

As for the prices, the new EV is anticipated to cost between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom) and compete with vehicles like the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV, etc. The petrol-powered model is currently between Rs 5.98 lakh to Rs 8.25 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom) in India. The model has reportedly been seen quite frequently on Indian roads prior to its official debut in the country. Now, the electric vehicle is all set to launch in the coming month, when its prices will be disclosed to the public.
