The C5 Aircross will carry over the diesel-auto powertrain from the outgoing model.

The C5 Aircross was the first Citroen product to come to India, and while it might not have broken sales records, it did set the benchmark in terms of comfort and ride quality. After having launched the C3 in India, Citroen is now getting ready to freshen up the C5 Aircross by giving it a facelift, which will be launched soon.

Citroen has made cosmetic changes to the SUV and given it feature updates to make it relevant once again in 2022. Primarily, the styling is now sharper and more distinct from before. The front fascia has received the bulk of the changes. The twin LED DRL setup looks more premium than before.

In terms of features, there are big changes inside the cabin. The centre console will get a bigger 10-inch touchscreen over the outgoing model, which got an 8-inch touchscreen. The AC vents too have been reworked, and a bunch of ADAS features, such as ventilated seats and a massage function, have also been added.

The powertrain will stay the same as before. This means that under the bonnet, you will continue to find the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which makes 175bhp and 400Nm. Transmission duties will also be taken care of by the same 8-speed automatic transmission.

It’s expected to carry a certain premium over the outgoing model. The facelifted Citroen C5 Aircross will rival the Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan.
