Citroen C3X Interior: Key Details

Previous spy photos suggested that the forthcoming Citroen C3X shares the interior components with its siblings, the C3 and the C3 Aircross. The C3X's cabin initially bears a strong resemblance to its siblings, especially in terms of the dashboard layout. The three-spoke steering wheel, which is evocative of the C3 Aircross, adds to the familiar feel of the cabin arrangement. A 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, reminiscent of the C3 Aircross's, sits at the centre of the dashboard. The interior colour scheme, on the other hand, is distinct and tends to be all-black. Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for the infotainment unit, vertical AC vents on either end, and a digital driver's display. By providing an intriguing combination of design, technology, and utility, Citroen intends to carve out a position for itself in the Indian auto industry with the new crossover and set new standards for its segment.

Mechanically speaking, the new C3X is anticipated to be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that powers existing Citroen vehicles. This motor generates 108bhp of maximum power and 189Nm of peak torque when mated to either a manual or automatic transmission.

Citroen C3X: Exterior Components

The C3X's external design follows its path, even though its internal cues may resemble those of its siblings. The crossover, which shares the same design language as other Citroen cars, has small changes to its front end to set it apart. But the C3X has a unique fastback-styled back end that makes it stand out when driving. Beyond the C3 hatchback, the C3X promises more utility thanks to its larger projected boot capacity and impressive ground clearance. A split headlamp setup along with a slender grille having the brand's logo will be a part of the design elements.

As mentioned before, early 2024 is when the Citroen C3X is likely to arrive in India. As of now, no official confirmation has been given. Industry reports state that Citroen can position the new C3X in the C-segment, which is presently filled by the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Similar to the C3 Aircross, the C3X may be more affordable than the B-segment SUVs mentioned above and more in line with B2-segment cars like the Marut Suzuki Brezza and the Hyundai Venue.
