Citroen recently rejigged the variant lineup of the C3 hatchback, which now offers more features and an automatic gearbox as an option. Despite the updates, the starting ex-showroom price of the C3 remains the same – Rs 6.16 lakh – but the prices of other variants have been increased by Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. Besides, the C3 Feel dual-tone and the C3 Feel turbo have been delisted from the company's official website, meaning they are no longer on sale.
The updated Citroen C3 gets two engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the latter comes with either a 6-speed manual or a new 6-speed torque converter automatic (AT). Notably, the turbo-petrol engine can be had only with the top-spec Shine variant, which begins at Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual variant. The price of the turbo-AT variant is yet to be announced, but bookings for the model are now open.

When mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the turbo-petrol unit makes 109bhp and 190Nm of torque. With a six-speed automatic gearbox, the engine churns out 109bhp and 205Nm of peak torque. And the naturally aspirated petrol unit with a 5-speed manual gearbox produces 81bhp and 115Nm of torque.
Citroen C3: New Features
Features-wise, the new C3 comes with LED projector headlamps, auto folding outside rearview mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control, all of which have been missing since the car's launch in mid-2022. Other upgrades include grab handles for all passengers, power window switches on the doors, remote start/stop, and automatic air conditioning.
Also, the presence of six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and three-point seat belts further enhance the Citroen C3's safety.
