Given the range of alternatives offered by different automakers, there never seems to be a shortage of choices when purchasing an SUV in India. Citroen, a French automaker, recently launched the C3 Aircross SUV in the nation after much anticipation, with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Before Citroen, Honda Cars India launched the Elevate at an ex-showroom price of Rs 11 lakh. The entrance of these two models has increased the size of the compact SUV market. The C3 Aircross is available in a 5-seat and a 7-seat seating configuration, however, the Honda Elevate only comes in a 5-seat layout. Let's compare how these vehicles from different automakers stack up against one another in terms of variables like design, powertrain, and cost.

Citroen C3 Aircross vs. Honda Elevate: Engine
There is just one engine available for both SUVs. A 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with 108bhp and 190Nm of peak torque powers the Citroen C3 Aircross. It employs a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol motor housed in the Honda Elevate SUV, in contrast, produces 120bhp and 145Nm. Additionally, a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-step CVT transmission are available as options for this unit.
Citroen C3 Aircross vs. Honda Elevate: Dimensions
The only SUV in its class with three rows of seating is the Citroen C3 Aircross. It measures 4,323mm in length, 1,796mm in width, and 1,669mm in height, and has a 2,671mm wheelbase and 200mm of ground clearance. The Honda Elevate SUV is marginally more compact in contrast, measuring 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,650mm tall. Further, the vehicle has a 2,650mm wheelbase. Compared to its arch-rival C3 Aircross, it has a better 220mm of ground clearance. The boot capacity of the Citroen C3 Aircross variant is an astounding 511 litres. The storage capacity of the 7-seater variant, however, is 444 litres. Contrarily, the Honda Elevate's boot has a capacity of 458 litres.
Citroen C3 Aircross vs. Honda Elevate: Features
When compared to some of their Korean competitors, both models have basic features. The Elevate SUV includes a single-pane sunroof, up to six airbags, a digital driver display, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), ADAS, and more. It also boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The C3 Aircross, on the other hand, includes a 7.4-inch digital driver display and a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In terms of safety, the Citroen SUV includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assistance, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and more. In contrast to the Elevate, none of the C3 Aircross's models offer a sunroof.

Citroen C3 Aircross vs. Honda Elevate: Pricing
There are three different models of the Citroen C3 Aircross: You, Plus, and Max. The beginning price for the entry-level 1.2P Turbo You variant is Rs 9.99 lakh, while the pricing for the mid-spec Plus and the top-spec Max variants are respectively from Rs 11.30 lakh to Rs 11.45 lakh and Rs 11.95 to Rs 12.10 lakh. The Elevate, on the other hand, is offered in four variations: SV, V, VX, and ZX, with pricing starting at Rs 11 lakh and reaching up to Rs 16 lakh. All are ex-showroom figures.
