The French marque has uncovered its new B-SUV product - the C3 Aircross for the Indian market. The brand-new model will launch in India and South America in the second half of 2023, followed by Indonesia in late 2024. According to the carmaker, the upcoming four-wheeler will be produced in India at the Thiruvallar plant in Tamil Nadu and have approximately 90% localization. In our market, the expected initial cost of the SUV is Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). When introduced in India, the upcoming mid-size SUV will compete with the other B-segment SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and more. As of now, there are not many concrete details available about the mid-size SUV, however, based on a few key highlights, we present you what the upcoming 5- and 7-seat SUV will offer.

Citroen C3 Aircross SUV: Engine
Propelling the mid-size SUV will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, capable of churning out 108bhp and 190Nm. For transmission, it will get a six-speed manual gearbox in the beginning. According to market reports, it could get an automatic transmission choice later. Currently, there is no official information, but industry reports reveal that an electric variant of the SUV could also mark its debut in our market.
Citroen C3 Aircross SUV: Exterior & Interior
The Citroen C3 Aircross comes with split headlamps up front, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and a grille with the Citroen logo integrated into it. Sideways, it boasts dual-tone bodywork and four-spoke dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. Like the C3, the rear has a big tailboard, square taillamps, and elevated bumpers. Dimensionally, the mid-size SUV is 4,300mm long and has a 2,671mm wheelbase. Further, it has 200mm of ground clearance.
The interior of the Citroen C3 Aircross features the same 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system as the C3 hatchback. There is a fully digital instrument cluster with different drive modes. Also, there are up to five charging USBs and charging outlets, auto climate control, and more inside a dual-tone design scheme. Aside from this, the C3 Aircross has an extra set of AC vents for the second and third rows.

For safety, the mid-size SUV offers hill-start assist, reversing camera, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and more. As mentioned, the upcoming SUV, manufactured and engineered in India, could have an asking price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Volkswagen Taigun, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta, the Skoda Kushaq, the Kia Seltos, and many others in India.
