Citroen has revealed that the world debut of the C3 Aircross will take place in India on April 27. The SUV will belong to the mid-size SUV market in the country and will compete with the other models in this segment. According to the firm, the brand-new SUV is created and engineered in India. Industry rumours reveal that the vehicle has already been seen undergoing testing on Indian roads. It will sit below the high-end C5 Aircross and above the C3 hatchback. Although nothing is known about the upcoming Citroen SUV, it is anticipated to retain the stylistic cues from its siblings, such as the all-around plastic cladding, dual-tone colors, and even the C3's split-headlamp design. Let's have a glance at what this brand-new SUV will offer to customers all over the world.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Mechanical Specifications

Mechanically speaking, the brand-new SUV could come with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is available in the top-of-the-line C3 Feel Turbo model and generates 108bhp and 190Nm. The automaker, according to market reports, will expectedly tweak this engine because it might be insufficient for a larger vehicle. The C3 hatchback does not come with an automatic transmission, therefore we anticipate a new transmission to make its debut on the upcoming SUV.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Design and Dimensions

Talking of appearance, the all-new SUV could share a slight resemblance with the C3 hatchback but will feature an overall distinct look. Dimension-wise, the new midsize SUV is anticipated to be about 4200mm long. The spy images that surfaced a while ago on the internet hinted that the brand-new SUV will offer two and three rows of seating options. It is likely to retain the split headlight arrangement, grille, and wraparound taillamps of the standard C3. However, the headlamps will probably have a more contemporary stance than those found on the C3 model. It is also anticipated to have an entirely refreshed rear quarter.

The Citroen C3 Aircross will likely feature flared wheel arches and side cladding. Additionally, it could have alloy wheels in higher-spec models, unlike the C3, which only comes with steel wheels.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Interior

Inside, the dashboard will likely differ from the C3 in terms of style, and other elements. However, the steering wheel and switchgear, are anticipated to remain the same as the standard C3. The brand-new SUV's touchscreen will reportedly be configured differently from the C3's widescreen device. Moreover, additional functions like automatic climate control could be available with the higher-spec versions.
