Citroen's C3 Aircross, an SUV manufactured in India, made its debut at the Indonesia International Auto Show in 2023. However, there are slight differences between it and the version available for purchase in India. The C3 Aircross SUV in Indonesia is equipped with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that will presumably make its way to India in the not-too-distant future. The SUV will be driven by the same 109bhp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. With the automatic gearbox, however, this powerplant produces 205 Nm of peak torque, which is 15Nm more than the manual-transmission India-specific model. Another noteworthy difference is the cabin layout, as the Indonesian version of the SUV is exclusively designed with a three-row arrangement, in contrast to the Indian market where it will be offered in both three-row and five-seater options.

Citroen's C3 Aircross: Design
With a length of 4.3 metres, this vehicle is shaping up to be a formidable rival in the mid-size SUV class. The car has a 2.67-meter wheelbase, is 1.66-meters tall, and 1.79-meters wide. Both the appearance and interior remain visually identical to the India-specific variant. Like the C3, it has split headlights, but it also has a larger grille up front, larger, flared fenders, and extensive cladding on the bumpers.
Citroen C3 Aircross: Interior
The interior layout remains also unchanged borrowing directly from vehicles like the C3 hatchback. This includes a large touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard, manual climate control, and a digital instrument cluster. The Aircross will be available with the same three-row seating configuration as the Aircross in India, and that includes a rear air conditioning unit positioned on the roof. The seats also differ between the Indian and Indonesian versions, with the Indian version featuring single-tone beige seats and the Indonesian version featuring dual-tone grey and black seats. Unlike India, where both the 5- and 7-seat versions of the SUV are available, Indonesia is only getting the 7-seat version.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Powertrain
The C3 Aircross SUV sold in Indonesia is mechanically identical to the C3 Aircross SUV sold in India. Its 110bhp comes from the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the India-specific C3 Aircross manual, but its 205 Nm of torque is 15 Nm higher. The C3 Aircross's 6-speed automatic gearbox also has a manual mode. If the C3 Aircross in India will get a lever or a toggle-type drive selector like the eC3 and C5 Aircross, time will tell.
