Citroen Basalt, Aircross, and C3 Dark Editions Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs 8.38 Lakh
The Dark Edition range (Basalt, C3, Aircross) keeps the same powertrains as the standard models, offering a 1.2-litre NA engine (81bhp, 115Nm) or a 1.2-litre turbo unit (108bhp, 205Nm).

Citroen has launched its Dark Edition range in India, comprising the Basalt SUV Coupe, C3 hatchback, and Aircross SUV. The ex-showroom prices start at Rs 12.80 lakh for the Basalt Dark Edition, Rs 13.13 lakh for the Aircross, and Rs 8.38 lakh for the C3 Dark Edition. As expected from any special edition, the changes are purely cosmetic, with a bold dark hue (Perla Nera Black) and chrome accents elevating their visual appeal. The dual-tone wheels maintain their signature style. Notably, the Citroen Dark Edition lineup will be a limited-run series, available only on the top variants of the C3, Aircross, and the Basalt. The exact production numbers, however, aren't available as of yet.
The launch of Citroen black editions highlights the French carmaker’s ambition to compete with prominent automakers in India, such as MG, Hyundai, and Tata Motors, within India's burgeoning market for dark-themed vehicles. It underscores the company's dedication to fulfilling the demand for bold, style-driven cars designed for discerning customers.
