Chevrolet unveiled a convertible version of its muscle car – the Camaro. The new convertible is based on the 2014 Coupe that Chevrolet unveiled this year. Since it’s a convertible, it sports an automatic canvas roof that folds into to the boot at the press of a button.

Overall though, there have been no changes to the exterior design of the car and it retains all the design cues as the coupe but subtle changes to the front grille, new headlights and tail lamps do make a difference to the appearance of the car. On the inside new features include a revised infotainment system coupled with a touch screen.

Nothing’s changed at the engine front either and the Camaro convertible will continue to be powered by a 6.2-litre small block V8 engine. The engine produces 432bhp and 569Nm of torque which power the rear-wheels. While the Coupe does 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds, the convertible will do the same in 5.4 seconds.
