BYD launched the eMAX 7 in India earlier this month, with a starting price of Rs 26.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric MPV is a facelifted model of the BYD e6, which was the carmaker's first model to go on sale in India in 2022. It has a different look, interior, and features, and is now available in two variants along with a three-row seating configuration. As the eMAX 7 has started to arrive in dealerships throughout India, and test drives are underway, here's a short glance at all of the MPV's features.

BYD eMAX 7: Exterior and Interior
The eMAX 7 looks quite similar to its sibling, the Atto 3 electric SUV, featuring a new front and LED headlights. However, the overall profile remains unchanged. The MPV has a new front bumper with chrome elements, standard door handles, and elegant 17-inch alloy wheels. It now features a simple rear design with connected LED taillamps, LED daytime running lights, and a motorized tailgate for easy access to the cargo area.
Inside, the eMAX 7 offers a spacious, inviting atmosphere, with six and seven-seater configurations. It gets an all-new dashboard with a 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment screen wirelessly connected to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable features include wireless charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a fixed panoramic glass roof, and a 6-speaker sound system.
BYD eMAX 7: Safety Suite
The electric MPV is equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with capabilities like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane keep assist.

BYD eMAX 7: Powertrain
The BYD car has two battery options: 55.4kWh and 71.8kWh. The smaller and larger battery packs connected to a single motor produce 160bhp, and 201bhp, respectively. However, the Torque remains the same for both at 310Nm. The 55.4kWh battery has a range of 420 kilometres, while the 71.6kWh battery offers a range of 530 kilometres. The former can be had with the Premium variant, while the latter is available with the top-spec Superior variant.
