BYD is planning to expand its footprint in India with new models, including the Denza 9 PHEV and Bao 3 EV. While the design patents for these vehicles have already been filed in our market, an official announcement is still pending. However, if the Chinese automaker moves forward with its plans, these models could make their debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo, set for January 17–22, 2025. Denza, a luxury new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under BYD, is based in Shenzhen, China, while the Bao 3 is produced by Fangchengbao, a BYD subsidiary focused on off-road vehicles. In India, BYD’s offerings include the eMAX 7, Atto 3, and Seal. Read on to learn some specific details of the Denza 9 and Bao 3.
